Welcome to MOKA, a charitable organization serving as a change agent for individuals with disabilities throughout western Michigan. We provide supports and services aimed at helping each person become valued citizens in our local communities. We provide a variety of services including support and treatment in specialized community based homes, training and support to live in the community, building skills and awareness with the goal of employment, skill development and job placement as well as family support of children with autism and other disabilities. Though we provide a variety of programs, we are best known for our gentle culture which helps everyone feel safe and affirmed and treats all with the greatest respect. |
We need the help of every person to fulfil our mission at MOKA--every consumer to do their best, every parent to be involved and engaged, every staff person to ply their skills and talents, every friend to support us financially if not involved directly, every volunteer to come to learn and live this mission we call MOKA.
We truly believe we play a unique role in individuals' lives and that stems from our never ending determination to "see the individual in everyone" and assist each person in meeting their personal goals. If the individuals we serve are the captains of their own ship, we are the navigators.
