We are proud to announce that on March 1st, Kathy was crowned "Ms. Wheelchair Michigan 2008"! This year’s statewide pageant was held at Aquinas College in Grand Rapids. Ms. Wheelchair pageants have been around for 35 years. It is a program of achievement, advocacy and opportunity for women in wheelchairs. During her reign, she will promote self-advocacy for persons with disabilities, as well as, encourage an openness and awareness throughout. Kathy is honored to hold the title of Ms. Wheelchair Michigan 2008. Kathy is the Director of Devolopment for the MOKA Foundation, an endowment to support services empowering other disabled people. She has been happily married now for three years to a wonderful man, Dave and is in love with her service dog, Sugar Daddy.
